Wish I were ‘Lost Into the Wild’

Rarely, has a movie been capable of soothing your senses and instigating your mind simultaneously…. One such impact was delivered by this serene but profound Biographical movie about the adventures of of Christopher McCandless.

The movie reaches out to you in a manner which is more than just an experience… Every frame is a meticulously taken picture, every emotion is profound and reaches out to you in an appealing way… The dialogues and conversations are highly idealsitic, but proven by the man himself as pragmatic too…

The best scenes are when a casual chat in a bar with a companion and the protagonist about ‘people’ turns into a real outburst of frustration, which i personally felt that we all have within us but are hypocritical about…

The next favorite scene is when the rubber tramp calls Alex-Are you a Jesus or something !!!, for his simple but deep analysis of the rubber tramps problem…

It is a master piece of sorts, but not belonging to the conventional lots…

But more than anything, when I think that it is the life of a man which has been portrayed, I felt all the more close to the character, and distanced from myself….
The weak human bonds, the false truths, the hypocrisy, the herd-like competition, the hatred towards the self and the fellow beings-all these make our lives futile…

I just wonder there is so much within us which is never expressed at all,and we perish unfulfilled, haunting ourselves through life ,and to death…

Live the moment to the fullest-is the best philosophy in the world…. Ironically, we have made it the toughest one to follow also…

Concentration Lapse :( courtesy Raghu’s Restless Mind Syndrome

Maximum of 20 minutes on any task has been the concentration period off late, the shortest duration as far as I can remember. Reading books, writing posts or essays, watching a movie, coding for project, listening to music….All these have been affected by Raghu’s Restless Mind Syndrome….

Although, i seem to know the reasons behind, I have been unsuccessful in nullifying their impact on my performance… It seems weird to feel this way…The question I ask myself is-Then what else will cling me on…. !!!

In hot pursuit of a solution to this condition….

Building an Organisation is like a guy trying to get his girl !!!

Nice caption…Isn’t it…
This was one of the analogies which emanated from one of our cool FSMK activist, while he was trying to motivate us in building the team…

This analogy has a profound value in itself… The efforts each of us(guys mainly…cos girls seem to care less about us) have taken until now,to grab the attention, impress and to get the girl we like comes from within the core of us…

The passion, the perseverance, and the ever increasing creativity churned out of us while doing something we really want has a huge-should i call it USP !!! (cos,USP is the closest term to what i wanna convey)….

And if you really want to accomplish a task in the best possible way, you’ve got to fall in love with it,in a way you are mad about your girl….

True sense of freedom @ STUDSAT!!!

After doing our routine rounds of work at the lab for the project, the best time comes when both the shift students get together for dinner. The sense of freedom we experience during such a time without any hinderances from anyone or anything is unparalleled. For instance, today we converted our discussion table in our Software Development Lab into a perfect dinner table.

The team members felt that this was the way to celebrate independence, with Independence Day only a few minutes away. And,they also insisted on me blogging about it….

Happy Independence !!!

The Soloist…But, Not Jamie Foxx in the movie….

A bowed percussion instrument made of a half coconut shell, a stalk of wood, three steel wires and a bow made of- I could not guess what…. The musician was a 12-13 year old boy with deep, but volatile eyes…

He starts playing very famous Kannada track-Aadisi nodu..,then a Hindi song and another for around 15 minutes in a very crowded bus on the Hebbal ring road…This is my second encounter with him, although I’ve travelled only few times on that route…He seems immersed in some deep thoughts, playing his music mechanically but perfectly…His eyes are wandering from point to point in a fast moving bus…

I wonder what his future would be-Would he continue playing it for very little money he gets in these buses, or would he give this up and take up something else ,or become a professional musician!!! I feel, he could be any of these or anything apart from this depending on his will power and perseverance….

Revisting my Webpage caption on my 150th post !!!

Ideas-are-immortal: These were the lines formed in my mind while I was watching one of my favourite movies -V for Vendetta…

I had later pondered over this phrase for sometime and realised it was one of the universal truths…. Ideas emanating from great minds have revolutionised the world by making their eternal presence felt -in and all around us…

Ideas of Science, Philosophy and Creation-these have been our lifelines, which have helped us to reach up to this point in the conquest of the Self, and consequently ever thing else, including nature.

The first thing which hit my mind when searching for a caption for my Webpage was Ideas-are-immortal. From then on, it has become my mantra. Now, that I have shared my ideas with a lot many of you on many occasions, even those have attained the status of immortality….

Ideas are the fuel which keep the world going. So, contribute in running the world, by providing your share of fuel !!!

The power of thought

People close to me must have heard me say often-The worst of all laziness is the laziness to think.
Just this feeling of someone being reluctant even to think makes me furious. It isn’t that I am talking about some fictitious characters, but unfortunately I have happened to know a few of these antagonising creatures. The worst part is that, they don’t even realise that someone is trying to convey something important to them. The paradoxic reason again being the problem itself-they don’t think….
In Stephen Covey’s book-7 Habits of Highly Effective People, he mentions that no person can be changed without his consent, as each person guards a gate, which we need to open and enter to change them…

I say, beyond this gate is the mind, and the gate itself could be a prejudice or a belief. The process of opening the gate is inquisition and thinking.

Now, for our specimen under consideration, the most unfortunate thing is he doesn’t seem to know that he is guarding a gate or at the first place has something beyond that gate which is worth guarding.

Until now,in various instances I have wasted lots of my valuable efforts in trying to convey something which should have been very natural to them….I need to devise a better way of tackling this problem…

It is as if I have done a CTRL+Z

The way things are turning these days, I am amazed at the rate of reversals… There have been instances where I had made a few amateur decisions, and when I was fearing that they were wrong, just then those have automatically been undone… It is as if, someone has done a CTRL + Z over my activities…

Even though, I will remain a bit hesitant in endorsing this course completely,I shall do justice to this encore…

My feat of cooking chicken :)

“The secret of being a good cook is to keep tasting your preparation at regular intervals”—Regularly repeated by a TV Show host…

And today, when for the first time i prepared chicken,I implemented this mantra….
It was a nice experience of cooking and eating something you love so much, all by yourself and also feeding it to the rest of the family..

Everybody loved it… I enjoyed both- the process and the product….

Losers and winners

There have been lots of instances in History, wherein a superior being has lost to a mediocre one, just by the act of pure chance.
A loser doesn’t necessarily mean is a failure. He could have been an unfortunate victim of mishaps. And likewise, a winner needn’t be a flawless personification of abundant talent, he could be a product of synchronised favourable events.

In many cases the amount of efforts put in by a so called loser,is very slightly less than that of the winner. The reward for which is not very consoling, and adds to the feeling of being called a loser.

In true sense, the amount of sincere efforts put in should be the gauge of deciding the rewards.
But, this is a hypothetical criterion, as we are programmed genetically to take events as winning and losing, which is never an absolute in the very relative frame.
