My teachers and Me :)

The importance of having good teachers has been emphasised in our Indian Culture from times immemorial…. I,personally have grown tremendously by absorbing various traits from my teachers… I have believed that the best role models are teachers and have been lucky enough to have had atleast one amazing teacher as a role model at every point of time…

The first teacher who had impact in moulding me was my High School Headmaster- Mr.Irudayaraj(Seen in the first pic)… Seeing him I started believing that perfection in tasks does exist, and discipline in actions is the best way of executing them….

During my Pre University,I met the most dynamic person I have known till date…. He was the teacher who broke the myth about Trigonometry(we had inherited from our seniors that it was obscure and impractical)… Mr. Madhukar was young, energetic, charismatic and very amicable…. He taught me Trigonometry and it still remains one of my favourite subjects….

Another teacher during that period was Mr.Basavaraj,my Kannada teacher… He was an erudite person, with immense Kannada literature behind his friendly persona… He increased my interest in literature in general, and Kannada in particular….

After reaching B.E,I have been very lucky to have studied under Ramachandran Sir, NDN, Jojy Ma’m….But, the highest impact has been undoubtedly by Bandopadhay Sir(Seen in the second pic with us on college ethnic day)…. He will forever be a part of me….

Even at home, my mom being a teacher, and my sister an aspiring teacher have had incessant impact…

I am extremely grateful to these circumstances which have made me know all these beautiful people, and moulded me into a person you all know me to be….

Thanks to all the teachers who have moulded me,I shall forever be indebt to you…

Happy Teachers Day !!!

Good or bad !!!Gone’s gone :(

Today, after a dramatic rescue and search operation the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh was found charred to death in a helicopter crash…

The sea of condolences to this prominent leader is flowing in from all directions…But,already the debates of him being a good or a bad leader are rising…

Being Good or bad-is a relative term, depends on the perspective you endorse…But now:Immediately after the demise of the person, criticising him although is right on an individual’s part, isn’t fair enough….

A leader of huge masses is no more, and he should be spared atleast until his last respects are shown by concentrating on the good he’s done…

May he rest in peace….

Remember Remember the 2nd of September :)

Birthday is definitely a special day…Apart from the quintessential fun and celebration, I have this critical introspection happening on this day….

When I was 17,I used to think Britney had shot to world fame releasing her first album, and at almost my age now Hamilton is the reigning F1 World champion… And, immediately I see what is it that I have accomplished in life this far…It is definitely embarrassing, and makes me push myself a bit more harder…

This time around,Will again try to put more efforts towards bettering myself…”Remember Remember the 2nd of September” !!!
And thanks for all your wishes 🙂

A beautiful symphony of delicate intricacies

Expressing oneself by sublime words, exhilarating notes of music, divine colourful strokes of brushes and meticulously chosen pencil carvings on paper have all been the driving force behind all the artistic endeavours by humankind.

The sketch here is by a gifted friend of mine.

I have been astounded by the sheer complexities of ideas in this meticulous, but out-of-the-world creation.Within a span of 25 minutes, she has bestowed a blank paper with life, and a sea of emotions spilling all over it.

The profundity within those two amazing eyes, which mimic the eyes in a peacock feather are inexplicable. These eyes seem to be telling some intense stories of their own. The mild display of fear and simultaneous love within those two remarkable artistic creations are hard to believe.

The two peacock feathers-if seen in a different perspective are two lovely birds with long beaks holding out a flower for a special one. This subtle presence looks so accentuated once it is taken notice of.

The region formed by the two peacock feathers and the flute resemble the mythological Hindu deity Krishna-A symbol of Love… Now with this in mind, the eyes seem to reflect the contemporary apprehension in loving the world and the neighbours around you…

There are numerous more interpretations which can be made of it… I leave it to you to appreciate it further…

Bengalurean @ Belgium GP

Dr. Vijay Mallya, the dream agent, the most lavish Indian businessman hailing from Namma Bengaluru, and an Indian Patriot…From the reclaiming of the auctioned memorabilia of Tippu Sultan and Gandhiji to putting India on the world map of business,he’s done it again…

After almost two seasons,in the second season of F1 his team Force India has obtained its maiden podium finish with 8 points…. It might be only a small step now, but a definite hope is rising at the horizon….

And not to forget Fisichella, for showing his metal in today’s race…

Thanks Mr. Mallya…. I’ve always admired you,now more reasons to do so

Me & my Friends…

At the outset,I am jovial and easy going. But,until now in my life, the real friends whom I want and would be with, the rest of my life are a very few…This is be because of the weird nature observed in me,when it comes to intimate dealing with people…

I find it imperative to define the person I’m calling my FRIEND….This demand is not in many cases met by the many people i interact with…Each of us,have acquaintances, close associates, few closer peers and finally a handful of friends… In my case, the convergence from acquaintances to friends is narrower….

Although only a few, they mean immensely a lot to me….

I’ll try to personify this post like you-Simple and affectionate:

Deyyy,
Don’t let the passion you show mellow down,
Continue to be an inspiration( Remember-you are my morpheus)
Scale greater heights,
But still,be the same to me, as what you are now….

Happy Birthday again buddy… !!!

Times of void…

A kind of a blank-out or an abrupt inadequacy of thoughts… These are regular times which I experience, wherein its tough even to contemplate what is going in my head… More the concentrated efforts, farther i drift from the regions of my active thoughts…. There is nothing substantial which I am able to derive out from my mind… A few scattered and insignificant thoughts going astray and grazing the field of my mind…. Unknown causes and unknown remedies….

These are the times of void…..

Apheresis -An experience never to be forgotten

Although I have previously donated blood four times at various donation camps, today was my first experience in a Hospital for immediate administration to a recipient in need…

Today,I donated Platelets from my blood by a process called “Apheresis”,using a cell separator… The process takes around 100-120 minutes….About 150 ml of blood is drawn out every time from the body in around 5-6 cycles, and the cell particles in blood are separated into plasma,RBC’s,WBC’s and platelets, like in a centrifuge… Platelets along with some plasma is collected into a bag, while the rest of the particles are administered back into the body…

I felt a weird, tingling sensation in my lips and finger tips, which later I came to know was because of Citrate included in the blood in the cell separator… The best personal physiological sensation was when all the plasma was being administered back into my body-Then I could feel every blood vessel within,as if a mild current were passing through them…It was exhilarating…

And finally, the brave family of the recipient, and their kind words to me were more than precious….

Wishing her a quick recovery from my side…

Austerity in Festivals !!! I’m glad

As I have grown up,I’ve seen the Hindu Festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi,Dussehra and Diwali celebrations get a tinge of austerity to them, which makes these celebrations more sensible

The number of Greeneco friendly Ganesh idols are increasing… Diwali is on its path of enlightenment with fewer crackers…Definitely required for the well being of the supposed creations of God….

I know that these haven’t susidised entirely, but a hint of change is encouraging….

Happy festival time !!!
Conserve our habitat so that we can celebrate, and let our future generations taste the joy of festivals….
